But it is not just a book. It really happened, which is the difference. It's like watching something like the Passion of the Christ. I would think the diary itself would be great to read, but... I don't see it as a book, so to speak. More as a gateway into the past. Hell, never mind. I'm weird. |

Don't act like I don't know what happened. It was brutal, horrendous, and ugly, but, yes, I would still like to see the actual events in person, which is why I also want to see an Anne Frank Movie. We watched one in literature class, but it had some stupid guy from now go back in time, so I really don't count it.
Natalie Portman played Anne in a play a while back...

I read that book for my final German exams - that's the most horrible book I've ever read, not in terms of bad book but a terrible story kind of - I couldn't pick it up without dissolving into tears... |

I'm about halfway through it... there's been some, uh, interesting entries that I'd rather not discuss on the boards. It's really intriguing... nice to know teenagers weren't so different in the fourties. I'm on the 16th of September 1943.[/color]
