This is a small thread concerning the powers of staff, how to become staff, and who your staff are.
First off, here is a list of the various powers the staff have.
Administrator
As an administrator, a user will have many rights and priviledges, but they can be easily taken away should they misuse them. You can recognize an admin by the red color of his/her username, and the underline, overline, and line-through text decoration styles of their usernames.
Global Moderator
Though they have not so much power as an admin, a global mod is responsible for all of the boards as well as his/her own. You can recognize a global mod by their blue name color and their overline and underline username decoration. Moderators usually become global moderators after three months of work on the forums, not always.
Moderator
A mod is only responsible for the board in which he/she moderates. You can recognize a mod by their green name color and their underline username decoration. Moderators become global moderators after three months of work.
How To Join the Staff
This is a small guide on how to join the staff on the GDF. As I believe that becoming staff is not a game, nor is being staff a game, some things must be followed:
Do:
-Become active in the board you wish to moderate.
-Become active in the Black Gate, where many issues concerning the boards are discussed.
-Offer to help out the boards in some way, such as getting new posting members here.
-Abide by all the forum rules, and help out other posters.
Don't:
-Ask to be a mod.
-Ask how to be a mod.
-Ask if there are any moderation positions open.
