My favorite part of this movie is when the ship sinks, and as most of you know when the dome breaks and the music swells to a dramatic climax as we pan back through a water-filling hallway! Why do you like/love/dislike/hate the supposed "best movie of all time"?

The Titanic is awesome! I like when the ship gets flooded and sinks.

I do't think it's the best of all time, but isn't it the most expensive? It's definitely one of the most accurate of all time, though. James Cameron really strove to make a movie that even the experts on Titanic would be impressed by.

I think it is the most expensive of all time, and it holds the records at the box officer, which supposedly makes it the most popular.
It really is very accurate, though some of the characters have strange biased personalities.

I read in that one book that a woman in First Class had a 98% chance of survival. A man in First Class would have about 50% chance of survival.
A 3rd Class man would have maybe a 10% chance? I think.
So JC picked the two polar opposites.

I think he centered on 1st and 3rd class because of the love affair.

I also liked how the ship seemed to have a soul, and when it was sinking, it seemed like a "dying beast" as James Cameron said in the commentary or somewhere.
