Well, standard question But which have you read? Myself, I've read the Hobbit, LotR (complete with appendixes and all),Silmarillion, books 1-6 from the History of Middle- earth, Roverandom (not LotR), Leaf by Niggle (non- LotR), Farmer Giles of Ham (non- LotR), The Adventures of Tom Bombadil (non- LotR, sort of), Smith of Wooton Major (non- LotR), The Road Goes Ever On: A Song Cycle, and Roverandom. BTW, the last one mentioned is the most adorable book I've ever laid my hands on ;D

Are you still working on the Hobbit or did you give up? I gave up on it once... I find it alot harder to read than LOTR...

The Hobbit - hard to read? That book's one of the most amusing JRRT wrote... And umm... yeah, well, I read LotR first time when I was twelve or so So I've had about six years or a little more to get through them *has read LotR about 50 times*

I found the Hobbit very difficult to get through. I did finish it sometime last year. I dunno. It was just alot more boring than LOTR to me. There wasn't as much suspense, I suppose. But that's because the Hobbit was supposed to be a children's novel, I think.

I have The Hobbit, but you know what? The guy that shipped it to us sent the kid version of it, so everything is completely different than the original.

Apparently they made a kid version, where they did a find/replace, changed the names of the creatures, and took out certain parts, or made them 'kid appropriate'.

Exactly. Apparantly Tolkien's son authorized it... In order to stay on topic, I've read LOTR books 1-6, The Hobbit, and started on the Silmarillion, but gave up on it because of time constraints.
