It's very odd rereading a book for the third time, it seems. Many stuff that seemed incredibly long and tedious now seems enjoyable and short, including the Tom Bombadil and the Barrow Downs segment. Most interesting of all was the Council of Elrond Chapter. It was nowhere near as annoying as it was the second time I'd read it. It is a very rich and descriptive chapter that really puts the reader into "Book II Mode" as I call it. I can now say I enjoyed Chapter II: The Council of Elrond. Never thought I would, but I did.

Yes. They were far more interesting (and shorter) than from what I remember.

I thought I remembered hearing you say something about not liking it... probably not. What were your favorite parts?
