(Yeah, cheesy title, I know ) So, who's your favourite female character in the writings of Tolkien? I've always had one lady from the books as a clear favourite; Lúthien Tinúviel. She is an amazing character, and, well, the story about her and Beren is soo sweet... #7#

Her?!? Of all people?!? Yeah, her. she's a hero, really. Have you ever read the whole story in the SIlmarillion and the texts published in HoME? She's a very interesting person, and the undying love thing has always fascinated me.

I presume Luthien is not your favorite of all women, raditz? I think Galadriel is the most fascinating. She has grace, but power through the Ring she has. Her temptation was very well written in FOTR.

Yeah... I read her entire story in errrr..... either SIL or HoME, and it really is fascinating Of course, it doesn't make much sense if you haven't read lots of elf lore
