Which edition do you prefer?
One mega reason I prefer the EE is because it actually has a closure to Saruman's arc. I was so pissed that it was cut. #49#

I defintely prefer the extended editions, even though I don't own them. I liked how they showed what happened to Saruman in RotK

It definately adds a lot of character to the settings, people and events.
The theatrical versions run alot more like a Hollywood movie, but the EE seem to have their own genre...

Extended Edition all the way!
In the theatrical, you basically never see Saruman in ROTK. He's just captured in his Tower, by the Ents.

That was the most disappointing thing in the entire trilogy was the lack of closure to Saruman's story.
I liked the EE better just because of that.

The Extended Editions are amazing! I'm glad I got them for Christmas, because they cost like over $120 here.

Yeah, I absolutely love the documentaries. And like I always say, once you've seen the EEs, you'll never go back.

It is hard to imagine the title 'Fellowship of the Ring' with Frodo at the tree, rather than in Bilbo's study.
I have not seen the theatrical cuts in years.
