I was just wondering what are some of the things you all found similar in the two Lord of the Rings characters, Eowyn and Arwen. So different and yet in alot of ways the same...some of the simils/difference I found are that... 1. They both get married to Gondorians who are both high in authority in Gondor 2. Both, they have a smaller part of in the book, play an important role in how the story turns out 3. Both are undeniably beautiful 4. They are both strong characters
Some differences I found are... 1. Arwen doesn't directly influence the War of the Ring like Eowyn but influences it in an indirect sort of way. 2. Obviously, one is mortal, the other immortal 3. One had a close relationship with her father, the other didn't have a father.
Anyways, what are some other similarites and differences between Eowyn and Arwen??

Nice post, Minyaliel! Well, they both fell for Aragorn at one point or another. One fought in war, one stayed on the sidelines. A similarity is that they both did eventually died; Arwen did, didn't she?

Nice post, Minyaliel! Thanks! Actually, Tolkien never said that she did, we don't really know what happened to her, but the popular belief is that she died of grief in the then withered and destroyed woods of Lothlorien in the fourth Age.
