I wasn't disappointed in this part of the book, but wasn't very impressed. Boromir's death was something I found much more emotional in the movies. Nonetheless, it's a worthwhile end to Boromir's character, even though it's at the beginning of TTT.
Boromir was an interesting character. I like how he seems to redeem himself by trying to save the hobbits.

Yeah, it's sad. *joins in crying. Hands out umbrellas for the rest of the people* I think that scene is so sad... even in the book, when I first read it I started weeping like mad. Behind Tolkien's words, there is something really emotional, you just gotta see it
