Welcome to the Role-Playing Arena where you can participate in Middle-Earth RPGs, or make your own. What are RPGs? Role-Playing Games. Make a character and follow them through a storyline. Basically you're writing a book with other people. ~Forum Rules-No autohitting or god-moding. What is this? Auto-hitting is basically when you mold the actions of someone else. Instead of saying, Bacon killed Agent., you would say, Bacon attempted to kill Agent. It is up to the other to see if they can get out of it. -Do not edit your post after it has been replied to. This is to avoid confusion in the game. -All things in character stay in character, and all things out of character stay out of character. Don't get mad at someone because they're beating you in the game, and don't vent your anger into the game. -Think realisticly. If there's five thousand Oliphaunt bolting towards you, don't try and think you've escaped. Know when your character's doom is upon you and don't try and cheat to stay in the game. -Do not disrespect anyone OOC. -You are not allowed to kill another character unless it's been cleared by that character's creator. -Follow all admins and moderators. They have the final say. -Have fun. ^^^^ What that last rule said!

I 've never actually played an RPG before but why not I'll give it a whirl. I may need some help at first though so I don't do something stupid. You might have to give me instructions on what I do next #8#

Hmmm... well, alright. First, someone makes an actual role-playing game. It could be like... well 'Defend Helm's Deep!'. You make your character with a provided character sheet. Character sheets are used as a blueprint for your character, you see. Once you are approved by the GM (gamemaster), and the game begins, a typical RP post would go along the following: ~IC (In Character) BaconLocation: The Deeping WallBacon could not believe his eyes as he witnessed a deafening explosion that threw him against the Deeping Wall. From above, a flashing boom echoed in the darkness as thousands of pieces of rubble flew straight past him.
Fear. Panic. Yelling. Cheering. Charging.
Bacon died.TAG (Who You Want To Reply To The Post) NooneThe game continues to go in this fashion until it comes to a conclusion. Does that help?

(Bacon, ladyrwen actually gave me an idea - let's start a practise RpG for those new to it, I remember that helped me a lot when getting into it at first. If you want to, I'll come up with a plot.)

Everything is ready for the real one, all I need is to make the introduction post and make the board visible As for the newbie thing, it'll have a very simple plot and such, as it'll only be meant for practising, but by all means, join if you feel like it
