I think of the blaring Fellowship Theme that is played in the opening of The Bridge of Khazad-dum.
This is not limited to the live-action movies.

I saw TTT before I read the books, so it made a bit of sense to me.
By itself, the movie TTT works just fine. It's just those stupid elves...

I found them strangely intriguing... There was a couple though.

The only scene I really don't like is the Elves at Helm's Deep but that's really a concept.
I would say Flight to the Ford... once again because Arwen's a fancy pants warrior princess here.
It was better when Frodo had to do it for himself.

What is your favorite chapter of ROTK? Personally, I love the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. Theoden's death, Eowyn and Eomer, just so said.

No I wouldn't be sad. I'd be upset and confused.
Being in pain is not sad until way afterwards when you're looking back on it. At the time it's just hectic and you want to get through it.

That's not saddening. It'd be sad if someone else was going through it though. So... if I were Elijah I'd be tearing up.

What makes you say that, DDL? I'm pretty sure that they can be learned and spoken and whatnot, but I may be wrong. I like Elvish out of all of em.

What do you think was going through Sauron's mind throughout the course of the Lord of the Rings, from the moment Gandalf arrives at Hobbiton til his fortress comes crashing down? Keep this serious first of all.
I can't really place myself in the position of Sauron, as he's what's known as 'absolute evil' in the Lord of the Rings, not sure about the Silmarillion, though. You never see him, only know that he's lurking far beyond those mountains in the distance.
So what exactly was Sauron thinking... perhaps, when Aragorn and Imrahir (sp?) come to the Black Gate in ROTK?
Obviously, he knew they stood no match for his overwhelming forces, so he had happy thoughts. In the book, I believe it describes how he was going to coax his enemies before revealing his trap (i.e. the Mouth of Sauron). So, perhaps he thought he had won. This would be the final battle of men for him.
Or what about when Frodo suddenly puts the Ring on in Orodruin? I would imagine the cliche 'What?' would be heard in his mind. Hmmm...
So what does everyone else think?

Nice post, Minyaliel! Well, they both fell for Aragorn at one point or another. One fought in war, one stayed on the sidelines. A similarity is that they both did eventually died; Arwen did, didn't she?
